William D Birenbaum, MD

I’m fascinated that his reviews are so high. They must have removed the bad ones. This guy was so mean and condescending that I left his office crying, and I cried all day. I have a lot of neurological issues and other serious health problems associated with a serious illness that I had several years ago. He treated me like I was a total idiot, told me that I was never going to get better, and said that I should just take antidepressants and come to terms with the fact that this was my life now. His after visit summary said that I had “somatic complaints.” I’ve seen dozens of doctors on my medical journey, and he was the intentionally cruelest and the least helpful of all of them. I wish he’d look at himself in the mirror tomorrow morning and ask himself why he’s still doing this job. I wish I could give negative stars. Don’t don’t don’t go to see this guy if you value your health. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Birenbaum is always patient, listens to my comments, asks relevant questions and makes effective decisions. His ability to communicate & diagnose issues is something I value. He takes time to understand the situation & is thorough in his analysis. I recommend his services.

he is a great doctor

Been seeing him for 2 years. Previous Internal Medicine physician left internal medicine and is specialist now only. Trying very much to like this guy, but he is not personable at all. OK at best. Very direct, comes across as condescending at times, to the point it's borderline disrespectful.

One of few doctors that I see that really listens to what you have to say, and spends the time that the visit requires.

Dr. Birenbaum listened carefully and acted appropriately. This was a new visit.

great guy and doc

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Birenbaum. He always seems to have plenty of time for me and my questions. He always asks about any items of concern I brought up on a preceding visit.He even followed up with me at home when a specialist (to whom he referred me) had found an area of concern.

I have been seeing Dr. Birenbaum for over 10 years. He is very kind and patient. He takes time to make sure you understand what he is percribing etc. Really listens.
