Dr. William Alexander Currie, MD

Dr. Currie treated me for the last 15+ years. I found out this year when I turned 65 that he does not accept Medicare when I tried to schedule my colonoscopy that we discussed last year. I would have appreciated him telling me that last year when we discussed my colonoscopy and he knew I was 64. Now I am waiting til late in 2026 to be able to see a new doctor and not likely to get my colonoscopy this year. Very disappointing and I would have to agree with his overall poor ratings

I was also a longtime established patient of Dr. Currie. I had an appointment on my calendar, when I was sheepishly called by an office assistant to say that they must cancel, because they noticed that I now had Medicare, along with my supplemental insurance. I was extremely disappointed in the complete apathy, especially for a patient of many years. The lack of concern is a shame. I found someone better, but being “dumped” as some reviewer put it, is sad.

I’ve never met a doctor with a worse demeanor than this man. I would recommend you go somewhere else to see a doctor who knows the importance of bedside manor.

very high strung and abrasive. he actually told me "I can tell you with 99% certainty you don't have cancer because you'd be dead by now" This man is not going to treat me - i wouldn't send my worst enemy there. People do die of cancer - it isn't a joke. Shame.

Great Dr, givesclear diagnosis' and clear plans for treatment. Solved my Esophageal ulcer issue, and continues treatment for Barretts Esophagas. Wish I hadn't put off my "Acid Indigestion" so long, til it became serious
