Dr. William G. James, MD

Opposite of pain management! Do not go here! This doctor is against all forms of pain medication and will try to get you to do experimental procedures that are out of pocket (so he cashes in).

I have been a chronic pain patient for 13 years now. I have seen many pain specialists and have multiple autoimmune disorders (diagnosed by many doctors). When I first moved to Colorado, I went to Dr. James to continue my care with a pain specialist instead of just a general practitioner. I was coming down slowly from pain medication and wanted help figuring out ways to handle my pain while also figuring out a different treatment option instead of pain medication. Dr. James told me straight to my face that I was a pill popping drug addict and he would not support my addiction. He told me that he would not take over care, and that I needed mental help. He never looked at my many folders of years of medical care. He never looked at my medical reports from my previous specialists. Just saw my age and belittled and degraded me for being an addict, regardless of my asking him to help me find other ways of managing my pain. Meanwhile, before that treatment plan, I was bedridden. Luckily,… since then, with the correct amount of meds and other treatment, I'm back to school full time and running my own business while battling 5 autoimmune disorders. Zero stars isn't even enough for this doctor. He is the worst physician I have ever seen!

I have spina bifida, been in 12 auto accidents, have sports injuries, and have been in a few brawls rendering me in pain I wish I did not have. The good Doctor and his team keep me in Good Spirits and Free of the most debilitating pain I once had.

DR. JAMES IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! AFTER WAITING TILL 6:30 FOR A 3:15 APPOINTMENT, HE RUSHED IN SAID THEY HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT ME AND RUSHED THROUGH HIS SPEAL. HE NEVER GAVE ME A DIAGNOSIS, HE NEVER TALKED TO ME, BUT HE DID TALK AT ME. ALL HE CARED ABOUT WAS WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE I HAD AND HIS PROCEURES. I WAS THERE FOR A FIRST APPT. AND HE ASK ME INAPPROPRIATE QUESTIONS AND WAS VERY PUSHY. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. HE IS ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY BY PROCEDURES. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Terrible... did a pain injection that left a huge bulg on the side torso and made pain worse. When asked about it he said ..."oh, thats normal..."l but when we went to other pain management docs they were confused by the bulg. This would include a very promintent neurosergeon in the area. To make thing worse he is only in town about 3 days a month, something we didn't know and if we did we would have never gone to him. Someone like this has no business having a practice here. When we asked to transfer to another doctor they wouldn't let us. When he finally did get back in town and asked again about this bulg and worse pain, he couldnt wait to get out of the room. ALSO, the chairs in the waiting room must be ancient. they are so broken down that someone with a good back has trouble sitting in them.

I have been a patient of Dr. James for 20 plus years and he is still my pain doctor. I sustained an injury a long time ago and sat at home in my recliner in such severe pain that I cried, and that I just wanted to die because it was unthinkable to live the rest of my life in this much pain. I could not work and I was in my late 30's. I started going to Dr. James when he was at Flower Hospital a decade ago. Dr. James did everything he could for me, he tried different procedures on me. Nothing worked. So he suggested that I let him put in a narcotic pump. At this point I was willing to try anything. So we scheduled the surgery to put this narcotic pump in. It was the best thing I could have done. It worked for me. Don't get me wrong. I'm still in pain but nothing like I was dealing with. I can live with this pain and its pain that I will have the rest of my life. The narcotic pump worked along with some oral meds to!!!! There are pros and cons to it just like everything… else in this world. This is my second pump and in 2 years I'll have my third pump. What I am saying in DR. JAMES IS MY HERO!!!!! The staff they have in that office is lousy. There are a few that are pretty good but not many.

Dr james does not deal with anything that his physician assistant cant handle for him. Hes more concerned with his sports attendance then helping people that really need help. If he has to put any thought into your care he'll just drop you.

I have been to many pain Dr. At Dr. James office I was treated as royality and got great care and relief of my pain.
