Dr. William Jason Barker, MD

All 4 of my son's wisdom teeth were impacted and initially after the surgery all was well but by the time he got home he was bleeding out his nose and it go got worse as time went on as did the pain. After 4 hours of not being able to get the bleeding stopped and the pain meds not working we called Dr Barker's office and was told this was normal and to just use cold compresses. I tried to explain that a body towel of blood was not normal and our fear was that the sinuses had been damaged or something. I was talked to like I was stupid and over-exaggerating. We ended up in the ER. The next couple of days we saw improvement on one side but not the other and then on the 4th day the swelling on the left side increased and the pain returned and we found he had a sinus infection (green and yellow mucus, along with dried and fresh blood each time he blew his nose). We called Dr Barkerâ??s office and was told Dr Barker was not in the office but the nurse was. After explaining what was… going the nurse told us to get some OTC sinus meds and he would be OK. After expressing my opinion of their patient care we made an appointment with his PCP, who confirmed he had a sinus infection!!! The next day the pain was still very bad in the sinus area and his teeth on the left side so he called Dr Barkerâ??s office AGAIN and was FINALLY told to come in and be seen.
