Dr. Thomas is a board certified general internist who held several academic and medical positions prior to joining Franklin Square Hospital Center in 1984 as chairman of the department of medicine and program director for the internal medicine residency. He then served for eight years as Franklin Square's senior vice president for medical affairs. He then was appointed senior vice president for medical affairs and clinical integration for Helix Health, prior to assuming his current role in 1998.
He is also a fellow in the American College of Physicians, and holds memberships and board seats with numerous professional organizations.
