I found Dr Mitchell to be below par in most aspects of his treatment of me. I believe he is egotistical and WILL NOT listen to the responses given to his questions. Dr Mitchell lost me as a patient and because of his affiliation with the group, so has Coastal Spine Center. I feel he dragged out treatments to make the most profit from the insurance company that directed me to him. He demeaned a very respected Dr that I feel did a wonderful job on my 6 year earlier fractured neck (which by the way is in no way associated with injury that I am seeing him for). His unprofessional attitude and behavior makes me wonder how he is in an operating room. I will not allow the workers comp insurance company to pay for another visit to his office. I will if declined by them to see another Dr use my own money and insurance to get the CARE I NEED. This is my opinion but as I have seen a few doctors in my life I rate him at the bottom of my list.
After meeting this doctor I've decided not to continue within the first 5 minutes I've spoke down to and treated with no compassion whatsoever. Without looking at my x-rays I was told that the prior operation I had was unnecessary. And the future operations of which I've been told I need are in his opinion not needed he's a good workers comp doctor will tell you there's nothing wrong with you and that surgery won't help. However I've seen two neurosurgeons and both recommend surgery then I meet one paid by workers comp and the outcome is without even looking at x-rays or MRIS surgery is not the answer I decided to go through with surgery with another doctor even though it's going to cost me money rather than have workers comp pay for the total cost if this is the kind of doctor that I have to use I'd rather go to the poor house and have him work on me anyone that talks down to you and thinks they're better than you are meeting you only one time and looks for every reason to make you out to be a liar totally disgust me I am aware that there's people that fake injuries and that's a shame in this world but there are few people that actually get hurt and really do need help and when they reach out they have to jump through hoops to get the treatment they need they're forced to fight in order to get workers comp doctors to do what's right. I don't know how Dr Mitchell can sleep at night.
William should not be working with the public. I've never met a more egotistical, arrogant, unprofessional human being all around. The wait time was often over 50 minutes. He comes in flings the door open and tells me to shut it unless I want others hearing. I'm the patient in pain with herniated discs and he tells me to get up and shut the door he tried to slam that popped back open. He is obnoxious and down right impossible. If it's not HIS way he has a tantrum. Mind you this is a doctor!! He repeatedly told me he went to Harvard. He spoke of his new wife and how she is blonde and acts blonde. Everyday with him is a bad day. He insisted I have a major surgery and consider him! Why on earth would someone ever consider him by his out of control disposition? I'd be afraid of this man operating on me. I found another surgeon who treats me like a human being. Stay clear from Mitchell. The man is a nightmare. He thrives on being nasty and uses his power like he is someone important. I'm contacting the board. No ethics or care for anyone. Absolutely nothing good about this man, although he thinks he is good looking. He should not be practicing.
Dr. Mitchell was seen for WC issue I injured my lower back & bilateral nerve damage ( diagnosed through MRI & EMG) has a TERRIBLE bedside manner, he is pompous, degrading and his total presence is much to be desired. He talks down to his patients as if he is superior to us. He did tell me he was very conservative but reassured me he would help me. After being under his care for 3 months we resolved NOTHING & came down to a visit in which he clearly was having a bad morning ( he forgot his phone @home had to borrow the nurses, and the nurse forgot to bring my file to the office I was being seen at and he took his anger out on me) he did nothing on my 2 nd visit after which my 1 st visit we discussed epidural injections & surgery, so by the referral of himself I went for the injections, 2 sets of epidurals upon my return visit (2 nd) this is when he was having his bad day, he did NOT EXAMINE ME and was nasty in tone & arrogant when speaking, I felt very uncomfortable and was basically thrown out of his office for not bringing my films to my follow up apt, I was never told to bring them again he looked at them at the fist apt & never mentioned them again!!!! I wouldn't recommend this guy to my dog never mind another human. Worst dr. I have ever been too & experience was not a pleasant one
