Dr. William Thomas Oakes JR., MD

My husband’s appointment with Dr. Oakes and staff yesterday was thorough and informative. He projected humor and compassion during nerve testing, and we left feeling we had gained information needed to move forward. His assistant Dianne was very empathic and helpful, also. If you are a patient who needs direct and honest medical data, I thoroughly recommend him.

After experiencing his arrogant attitude, condescending tone and rude comments, I felt compelled to share the outcome from my appointment with Dr. Oakes. His demeanor was completely contemptuous not to mention how he constantly insulted my intelligence. I was extremely uncomfortable and hurt when he rolled his eyes while doubting my symptoms actually being true. I’ve never experienced such rudeness behavior from anyone in the medical field. Before walking out, I expressed how disappointed I was with his ridiculous diagnosis and inability to listen to his patients. I do NOT recommend him to anyone who seeks professional care and informative answers.

His assistant has more compassion and listens to the patients more than Dr. Oakes does. Dr. Came in last 5 mins of exam/testing, asked me why I was referred to him, never looked at my chart. Every time he asked me a question, he would interrupt me and never allow me to finish speaking. After the worst 2 hours of testing and 5 min (so called) exam, he said there was nothing he could do for me and quickly left the room. This doctor was so rude. He had me crying before I left the exam room bc I thought he was there to help me, not cause more anxiety and frustration. How does he even know what he could do for me if he never allowed me to speak? When I got to my car, I immediately called my referring physician and explained what happened. They said they would never refer another patient to him. Side Note: The office staff are rude as well.

Dr. Oakes was very helpful with diagnosing my problem. He explained things very well and answered all my questions. His staff was very courteous and I was treated with the utmost care.
