doctor does not care!

After talking with our PCP I brought my son to urgent care because 10+ days of high fever and a foot injury. During the rushed consult with Dr. Pankau he made comments about how long he had been there that day, and didn't even look at some of the symptoms (rash/skin peeling) until I called him back into the room. Since the Strep and Flu tests were negative, Dr. Pankau diagnosed him with a "bad virus" and sent us home. He did not listen/care when I expressed that we had not left the home in 4 weeks, the symptoms had been going on for almost 2 weeks, and nobody else at home is sick. I left the office angry and feeling helpless. I went home and called back our PCP who agreed that this was not just a "bad virus" and sent in an order for blood tests in the morning, that night my 6 year old spiked a fever of 104.4. The results of the blood tests were concerning and my son was admitted to the hospital where he stayed for 5 days and had surgery for a bone infection. He has been home for… almost a month now and is continuing to take antibiotics 3 times a day because his 2nd follow up blood test yesterday still showed signs of the infection. Had I listened to Dr. Pankau and not my own instinct, who knows how bad the infection would have gotten.

Starting from waiting time over 2 hours with two little children to see the docktor, you can imagine sick baby. Next, the way Dr. try to treat my poor sick baby it was terrifying. No knowledge how to work with infants . He was 5 min with patient and gone.
