Dr. William Louis Pistel, DO

Although he had to perform 3 more surgeries on my right ankle, making a total of 6 all together. He miraculously saved my ankle and foot from being amputated. Due to the incompetence and arrogance of a so-called Dr.,who will stay nameless, although I would love to put him on blast and fight tooth and nail, to have his medical license stripped from him and be knocked down a few pegs in front of his colleagues and the community. He performed 2 surgeries on my ankle and literally screwed both up...He didn't recognize the yellow seepage draining out of the incision he'd made two days before. Another Dr had to clean up his mess and I ended up with MRSA and a 7 day stay at the hospital in ICU and isolation. I nearly lost my life from a clot moving up my arm and could have easily hit my heart and or lung. For the next 2.5 years I suffered with horrible pain and limping and disfigured ankle and foot .. Then when I had lost all hope and thought about ending my life, Dr. Pistel entered… my very dark existence, for lack of a better term .. He did, however, perform 3 more surgeries and miraculously saved my leg from amputation from the calf down. I was skeptical at first, because of all I had been through, but this earthly Angel whose skills to went beyond the Call of Duty .. I found myself looking forward to each appointment and even the surgeries. Upon 30 minutes in the first appointment with Dr. Pistel, I knew that he could be trusted and I would be a a real living human being that was truly suffering, I had all the confidence in this man, whom I'd refer to as a Ray of Sunshine, a true miracle worker. He could easily perform up to 18 surgeries in one day and would still have the stamina and compassion to probably perform 5 more, with the skills and perfection that he would have walking into the operating room first surgery early that morning. I'm indebted to this wonderful Dr., human being that I can now call my friend.
