Dr. William R Buckley Jr, MD

Every time I see Dr. Buckley he is so calm, explains everything I need to know. He makes you feel comfortable and not rushed. I feel I can trust him with my care. Carole K.

I went to Dr. Buckley as a new patient, hoping to meet the doctor that would be delivering my baby. His nurses were rude off the bat, and informed me that they treat everyone that way because they get a lot of fake pregnancies of girls who want to keep their "baby daddies". Dr. Buckley was extremely nonchalant and uncaring. He merely read to me out of their standard pamphlet and dismissed most of my questions. When I asked him for a summary of their costs, he said he didn't know what it cost and that I'd have to call their billing department if I wanted to know that. The OBGYN office is also right next to the pediatrician, and you share a waiting room with sick children. I am a first time pregnant woman, so it may be ok, but I did not want to be around a slew of sick children while waiting 40 minutes for my appointment. To top it off, for this incredibly poor service, the bill was $200 -which did not include a pregnancy test or anything. Just the Doctor, reading to me out of a… pamphlet. Needless to say, I found another doctor.

This doctor receives one star because I couldn't rate him as zero. Not only did he fail to answer my questions, he rushed me through my initial appointment, told me to Google my questions, and requested I return for multiple follow-up appointments, in which I spent close to an hour waiting for him in the room. When he finally entered, he again spent minimal time explaining my situation and quite frankly scared me into thinking I had a serious problem with his harsh demeanor. The only answers I received were from the nurse and my doctor in Chicago whom I called to discuss my options. They, too, were appauled by the lack of service I was provided. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. I would like to note that I have been to my share of doctors and have never been treated with such disregard before. Extremely disappointed.

Dr Buckley was my OB for 9 months and I still see him for my yearly GYN exams, etc. He is thoroughly professional and is very caring. One day he was running behind, and although he was obviously very tired, he took the time to explain things to me and answer my questions. He's gentle and has a great sense of humor.
