Dr. Mayfield absolutely saved my Husband's life. There is not a more brilliant, talented, entirely dedicated, caring Surgeon, IMOHO&E. Thankfully, we chose him over Emory (planned 11 hours of surgery) & Piedmont (planned 12 hours), thus were entirely fortunate. Dr. Mayfield & Dr. Miller both performed the Esophagectomy - it took only 2.5 hours - which helped my Husband to have survived it. He's now approaching his 4 year mark & doing great!

I took my mother to see Dr. Mayfield regarding a diagnoses for a mass in her lung that had to be removed. He was very patient with her, did an excellent job of explaining what was going on with her condition and what she needed to do to get ready for her surgery. He was compassionate and very patient. I would recommend him to anyone needing lung surgery.

Dr. Mayfield is truly an amazing physician/surgeon. He took time and great care to explain everything that was going on which I really appreciated because so many Drs. seem to have gotten away from that. There was never a second of doubt that Dr. Mayfield was the right Dr and surgeon for my care and we feel very fortunate that we were sent in his direction. He is truly incredibel!
