Dr. William Robert Pugh, MD

This man performed surgery on my niece, a 4 year old, to remove her tonsils and he knocked a majority of her teeth loose and has to have a root canal on THREE of her teeth! This man is a monster and should not be trusted! He is LAZY, CARELESS, and a MONSTER! Do NOT trust this man!

I was scheduled to see him after struggling with sinus pressure and pain for almost two months. He examined me for about thirty seconds and dismissively told me there was nothing wrong with me. Our entire visit lasted about five minutes after walking five miles to see him (I don't own a car) and waiting for 45 minutes. Less than a week has past since I saw him and my symptoms has worsened significantly and I've been in nearly constant pain.

Worst experience I have ever had with any health professional. Rude, uncaring. Dismissed my thoughts and fears as if I were a child. I had many ear infections, and even some hearing loss, before I got the nerve to visit another ENT, who has been very helful.

Yes a doctor should have good bedside manner but I can over look that IF the doctor is a good doctor. I did not get either of these with Dr. Pugh or his staff. Not even a simple test was done to see which ear was my "bad" ear. I got NOTHING for my time and money at Dr. Pughs office.

I visited Dr. Pugh's office (ENT Associates of Southern Indiana) recently to have a possible ear infection examined. THE BAD -- His demeanor was a disappointment. First, I was left waiting in the examination room for at least 15 minutes while I'm pretty sure he was surfing the web & watching a news broadcast in his office (which I saw him doing later when I was walking from a testing room back to my exam room). Second, he seemed a bit irritated when I asked him questions, and dismissive and uninterested when I was giving him details about my ailment. He's an older man who served in the military and has been practicing medicine since the early 60s, so maybe he's just "old-school". But, in my opinion, he was a bit gruff, cold, and dismissive. THE GOOD -- He seemed knowledgeable and his recommended course of action made sense to me. In the end, I just prefer doctors with a better bedside manner -- i.e., warmer, more engaged, and better at listening.

the minute I walked into his office I had the feeling that my medical issue would be diagnosed properly and accurately. His expertise in his field is obviously outstanding. He delivers quality service - service beyond delivery. He is a caring and compasionate Doctor.
