Dr Watkins is the best at endoscopies. I had one done by a supposedly great doctor in Charlotte/Belmont a friend recommended. It did not work out well for me and I had to have it redone by the same doctor and the results were not much better. I waited a while then went back to Dr. Watkins to have an endoscopy and my throat stretched again and my results were much much better. Dr. Watkins also treated me for the Hep C virus which is no longer detectable in my body. Seeing him has worked great for me, I would be afraid to use another Gastroenterologist after my experience with another doctor verses Dr. Watkins.

Have called over 20 x in last week with no answer, left messages n still haven't received a call back

After leaving several urgent messages for the doctor or his nurse, Ms Crawford to call me the day before a scheduled biopsy to go over a few questions I had about the procedure, I finally got through and s tarted explaining the reason for my call. Before I could ask my question, I was put on hold for 12 minutes and then hung up on. Upon calling back I told her who I was and was hung up on to which she said she was very busy and had a few other calls to handle. No apology!! I told her I was calling to get the results of a previous test I had taken a few weeks before and needed to discuss the results before the biopsy the next day to which she stated several times that I would get them on my follow up visit. Well I could not seem to get her to understand I couldn't wait for a follow up visit if the procedure was the following day! As it turned out there was no scheduled follow up visit. Instead of acknowledging my need to get test results, she just kept repeating that litany. Finally… she put me on with the doctor who himself had an attitude and responded with "as we discussed in my office" to some of the questions and confirmations I expressed as though he couldn't reassure me before he "put me under the knife." I cancelled the procedure the next morning! Upon going to the office the following week to pick up my records that I requested, I encountered another problem with the office manager, Kelli Phillips, when I asked to see a form that I needed to sign to get and be charged for my records. Long story short, when I asked again about the charge because another doctor's office told me of 'patient non-bill' I asked how I can get my records without charge. She said "I'll tell you how. You can pay me and get your records or not pay me and walk out of here without them." This said with her index finger raised to me and staring me down! I kid you not!!!

Never sent the pathology report to my Dr. Went to the office one month later--still had not sent report. Said they would send it. One month later I picked up the report--I had colon cancer!

Yes I was very satisfied with the service !!!!!!!!!
