Great experience! Dr. Stassen has been my doctor for as long as I can remember. He takes the time to listen. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional.

My appointment was timely. Dr. Stassen explained everything in detail and laid out a plan for my care.

I have complete faith in Dr. Stassen; he is very thorough and, as a high-risk patient, I have been a patient since 1995.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stassen's for 25 years. He is the kindest, most attentive doctor ever. He listens and cares. Can't ask more than that.

To set the tone of this review, I am not happy with the American healthcare system and find it the relationships between the doctors, pharma companies and insurance companies to be closer to 'medical mafia' than healthcare. That said, Dr Stassen and especially his staff, while nice individuals, operate their practice poorly – the office priority seems to be staff first, money second, patient care third. The front office humiliated me when I was filling out their paperwork because I didn’t know some of the medical terms. (I later left several messages for the office manager to discuss my treatment but was never called back.) For a new patient, I got less than 5 minutes with the doctor and while he took plenty of notes, when I showed up for my ‘scope’ procedure, he only addressed 1 of my 5 problems. I left feeling like I was just another ‘scope job’ on the assembly line of many patients that day. Over the last year, I’ve needed to call the doctor several times for various flair ups… and of course, I am only allowed to talk to talk to the nurse, but talking to the nurse involves several rounds of voicemail (because no nurse or PA ever answers the phone). I have since found another doctor but I’m still so angry at my medical and administrative treatment at his office, I’m channeling my frustration on social media (because they don’t seem to care enough to call me back).

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR. HE IS BURNT OUT. After having a bowel obstruction I began to see Dr Stassen on a regular basis. I went to him for 3 yrs. He said that I just needed to forget about the obstruction and I would be fine. I begged him for tests as I was not fine. He said none was needed. I went to another gastro and she ordered 4 tests. We found out my colon is severely scarred. Should me the size of 50 cents, mine is the size of a quarter. My digestive track is very slow as shown in a sitz test. I have a rectoprolasp. All of this is what is causing my constipation. I have wasted 3 yrs of my life, untold amounts of money going to ERs because of the pain I experienced, and many shed tears.

Dr Stassen is PHENOMINAL! Thorough and nice. I feel I am in very good expert hands!

I've been seeing Dr. Stassen for over a year and a half. He has a wonderful beside manner and yes, I always have to wait even with an appt. but when you have the best, waiting is a small price to pay. The man is good at what he does and I would not even consider changing Dr.s.
