Dr. William Vitello, MD

I had a repeated hand injury that Dr. Vitello saw me for. He asked questions to understand the progress of my recovery and my concerns. He made sure to give me advocacy in the decision-making process for follow-up/physical therapy. As a young person looking to continue participating in athletics, he confidently reassured me that this outcome was possible. He is very conversational and doesn't just diagnose and send you on your way. I cannot recommend Dr. Vitello and IBJI enough!

Dr. Vitello made a tough decision recommending I not go through with surgery. At the hospital prepped for the scheduled procedure, he recommended we delay it due to improvements in my injury. He guided me through options that were in my best interest. He could have easily moved forward with an invasive, costly surgery but was true to his oath of ethics. I could not recommend him more highly.

Dr. Vitello’s direct nature was what I needed to grasp the seriousness of my situation. He helped me understand how to approach healing with realistic expectations and answered all questions I could think of. Highly recommend him if you want your doctor to cut straight to chase!

I am so thankful to Dr. Vitello and his team for successfully fixing my trigger finger thru surgery. They're professional, kind and friendly, everytime i had my visits in the clinic. Dr. Vitello was so attentive to me, discussed my condition and came up w/ a plan for the better. The best part is that dr. Vitello will listen to you and open for suggestions until you will come up w/ the best care/treatment options. He's calm, cool, and direct to the point. I highly recommend him if you had orthopedic problems.

Dr. Vitello and his team are extremely professional. Dr. Vitello was straight forward and matter of fact about my procedure. He listened to all my concerns and explained everything that I needed to know. The surgery was successful and the follow up care was even better! He takes his profession seriously but can crack a smile when engaging in light conversation. I am extremely happy with the outcome of my procedure and highly recommend his office for any of your orthopedic surgery - hand and upper extremity needs.

Dr. Vitello preformed surgery on my thumb, a week later I’m well on the road to complete mobility. He and his team were knowledgeable, easily accessible, and able to work around my busy schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Vitello and his team if you are in need of an orthopedic specialist.

I had just left the ER with a broken elbow and confusing information on the break. Dr Vitellos office got me in immediately and he very clearly explained the injury and the recommended treatment. He didn't want to just throw me straight into surgery but made sure I was aware that it was not out of the question depending on how the bone heals. I always appreciate the realistic expectations. It was clear that he and my physical therapist were communicating throughout my treatment too. I felt very well cared for

I’m sure he’s a good surgeon as he seems knowledgeable but he was crabby and didn’t seem to want to have a conversation. He preferred to just tell me what he knew and was visibly upset if I asked a question that took the conversation in a different direction. Maybe since my problem wasn’t surgical or maybe he just doesn’t like his job but I felt unimportant and just kind of bad when I left the office.

I had a horrible experience in the office with Dr. William Vitello. He is very creepy and demeaning toward women. Didn't listen to me at all and incompetent as I had to find another doctor just a few weeks later to resolve my trigger finger issue. I caution all women to AVOID DR VITELLO if you get a referral to see him.

This practice is an administrative nightmare. Cold, unhelpful and unapologetic. I was referred to Dr. Vitello for hand surgery. He met me for about three minutes to evaluate my problem. He seemed disinterested and immediately scheduled me for surgery. The surgical paperwork and preparation was a disaster - very disorganized, cancelled appointments, botched scheduling and unfriendly staff. I have little confidence in the medical care and no confidence in their ability to manage patient care. Moreover, based on my unsatisfactory experience with this office, I met another hand surgeon who was more professional and recommended a simplified surgery that does not require a procedure in a surgical suite and does not require extensive pre-op procedures.
