Dr. William Wei Lin, MD

Dr. Lin is my treating attending here in Chicago for my prostate cancer; currently in remission. He is quite simply the best in his field. He has a national patient following who endeavors to treat the cause of patient issues -- not just the effect.

Very thorough history and physical. Answered all my questions thoughtfully. Fabulous doctor.

I struggle with this one: I’d love to give a better rating, but in my particular case, I don’t think he was a good fit. He is clearly experienced and I deeply appreciate his ability to refer out when it is beyond his expertise (which is rare these days). With that said, I wanted to be evaluated for a very specific issue and he tunnel visioned too heavily on my past, which is basically settled (I’ve seen several elite specialists and had many tests done). He also does have a bit of a paternalistic mindset, which seems to be common in urology for some reason. In short, would highly recommend if you have an issue and don’t know what’s happening or where to start. Would not recommend for a second opinion or if you have a complex history.
