Dr. William Steven Zirker, MD

I tried several times to get acquainted with Dr. Zirker; I want to have a comfort level that he knows who I am. Each time I visit, he does not remember me from the previous visit. When reading a report, he missed a secondary diagnosis which I would have loved knowing. It took another doctor to notice the secondary condition. I feel when I visit Dr. Zirker that he does not listen to my input; afterall; who knows their body better than the person in it. I feel because most of his patients are older than I, he treats me as if I am demented. I thought by going to a doctor who treats the elderly that he would be on the look out for conditions which affect people of my age. I never feel good after leaving his office. I feel neglected. Having a geriatric speciality is good, but it is more than having large buttoned-phones in the ER. Have you heard of People-Centered Care? What is important to the patient...do you ask? I think Dr. Zirker has lost site of his original… goal.
