Dr. Woodward Rion Dixon, MD

Dr. Dixon is a little hard to warm up to at first. Once you get to know him, he is actually really nice. I have spinal stenosis and a bulging disc. I do NOT want to have surgery. Oxycodone is the only thing that helps my back pain. I take as prescribed and don’t understand the big deal. If some idiot wants to take a handful of oxycodone, and they overdose, that was a choice they made. Dr Dixion is a life saver and I thank God I found him!

Dr Dixon is very caring & compassionate. He truely cares that his patients does not become addicted to perscription meds. He doesn't go around throwing pain meds out there but really does find a treatment plan that helps to use the minimal amount of pain medicine possible. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking help with chronic pain that also fears becoming addicted. You must be willing to use a combination of treatments in addition to medication.

Very hurried, did not remember previously provided treatment, could not find MRI from 2018, did not want to hear previous experience with injections and said I was uncooperative..no record review. I felt he didn't like me.

Dr. Dixon first told me that I had to grow taller so my weight would fall in the normal range. Then he gave me free samples of an advanced drug for diabetes that he said would help me lose weight when I did not have diabetes - only prediabetes. I told my daughter who is a diabetes doctor and she was ready to report him. I was very happy when he found a job in a different medical practice.

Absolute worst doctor ever! Rude, nasty and doesn’t care how you talk or treat people period! If I didn’t have to rate the one star I wouldn’t have but it won’t submit without one checked...

He took almost no time at all examining my husband. Refused to refill any of his meds and then his office staff refused to allow my husband to make an appointment with his regular doctor for 30 days.

Since moving to South Carolina, Dr. Dixon has been a wonderful Doctor who has gone above and beyond the scope of his job.

I have been a pain mgmt pt for 20 years with multiple disc replacement surgeries/fusions erc. This doc is in a position in Pain Management. I had tp lie down while waiting He came in the room and quipped "now that is dramatic, you need to get up"! I told him he was rude and that I had been through surgery after surgery in hopes that I would. NOT have to take medicine. In fact I got up and walked out knowing that I would not hsve my medication rather thst see him. His behavior was unacceptable!
