Dr. Wynne Chen, MD

I'm a an obstructive Sleep Apnea patient, and I feel like I am completely de-prioritized by Dr. Chen. He talks a mile a minute, rushes in to my patient room, spends under 2 minutes, and then moves on to the next person. While I understand there are people who are not as healthy as me needing care, he could take a few minutes to make you feel less like a meal ticket, and more like a patient

Dr. Chen struck me as extremely competent and able to inspire confidence. I believed I was getting the care and expertise I needed to come away with an accurate diagnosis and prescription for my sleep apnea. I've been to other doctors for this issue prior to visiting Dr. Chen (who was recommended by my family physician), and had been disappointed. I had left the other two doctors without any sense of assurance that they'd done all they could. I trust Dr. Chen because his communiction and manner assure me of his knowledge and competence. He is quick and efficient. I do not evaluate my doctors' ability to address my medical condition based on his bedside manner, because while comforting, it may not do much in actually helping me find relief or healing if medically feasible. It may make me feel good, but in the long run, I'd go to a counselor or pastor for spiritual issues. From a medical doctor, I look for knowledge of my illness and the ability to communicate options. That is what… Dr. Chen does best and I'm fully satisfied with his medical care. I would recommend his services without hesitation.

Dr. is very knowledgeable and spends time answering questions. Wonderful nurse who responds promptly to my calls.

This was probably one of the worst doctor visits I have ever had. The front desk person was void of a personality. When I got to see the doctor who was prompt had not looked at my test results so subsequently asked a lot of questions he should have already known the answers to and would have gotten more accurate answers. Not prepared at all. He made comments about what the severity of the situation could be with such a blase tone, to then have the nurse come in to give me information about a test I was going to have to have, tell me it's an afternoon test however you have to fast from 5 am She was going to call me back once the test was scheduled. That was 3 days ago and haven't heard from her. Also found out that the results takes 3 weeks to get back. if the disease has actually gone to my brain as the doctor suggested what kind off customer care is that? The 2nd test the front desk person made fo me took 3 weeks to get & then a month to get the results. I understand… I'm not the only patient they have but you are suppose to feel cared for. I didn't. Needless to say I have found another doctor that assured me that is not how it has to be and her axact words were "that's crazy" Not sure if this is the Valley Hospital mentality or the doctor, what I do that I will not be around to find out the answer to that n D
