Best doctor I ever seen

I went to University ER in Charlotte with chest pain. After CT, Dr. Herndon explained a mass was found by my lungs/breast. She let me and my parents know that her and radiologists looked at Chest CT several times and most times this was cancer. She used the word “certain”. She held my held as I cried and assured my family we could get through this. She told me I either had breast cancer that had metastasized to my lungs or I had lung cancer. Either way, she was “certain” I had cancer, just not sure which kind. A week later my mammogram came back negative. Months later after several appointments with a Pulmologist, a biopsy and further CatScans revealed the mass was simply pneumonia that was breaking up and The mass was not detectable by CatScan. I never had cancer, thank God. However, the emotional pain, as well as missed days of work, many appointments with expensive specialists to determine I simply had pneumonia that was going away. I liked her honesty, (Most drs would’ve beat… around the bush and said they wanted further testing on the mass however She said basically said, “this is cancer.” I wished she were right if she were going to be so honest and straightforward though.
