Dr. Yan Gu

Dr. Gu answered my questions, by my request he opened computer and pulled out my MRI. explained to me where is the problem? He gave me epidural shots carefully and precisely, my neck pain is getting better.

Dr. Gu is very experienced and professional

Many physicians are exceedingly competent in their chosen specialty. Dr. Gu is most certainly that. I have been dealing with degenerative disc disease and disc bulging at multiple lumbar levels for some time. There was a period where the sciatic pain down my left leg was excruciating. Dr. Gu has administered lumbar injections several times over the past 5 years with tremendous results. Each injection has provided me with anywhere from 12-18 months of relief and allowed me to engage in normal daily activities without pain. But beyond his clinical expertise and competence, Dr. Gu is a truly empathic and caring physician. He always greets me with a smile and a warm hello and takes a genuine interest in my care. I joke after each visit that I hope I never see him again. Given my condition, that is unlikely, but I am grateful to Dr. Gu for ensuring that those visits are few and far between and that, to this point, I have been able to avoid surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Gu!

Dr Gu and team were prompt efficient and most importantly proactive in helping me through a very painful bout of sciatica . The Dr is a highly skilled practitioner and I recommend him to anyone that is dealing with this crippling condition!

Good doctor ,and nurses are good too

Dr. Gu is the best. He takes the time to listen and asks pertinent questions. He provides clear and complete answers to questions. He has a calm, reassuring demeanor. I have received three lumbar injections (Jan. 2019, Feb. 2020, and Sept. 2021). In each case, Dr. Gu provided clear instructions, talked me through the process and prepared me for what to expect, especially when it came to the actual injections ("You will feel a stick", "You will feel pressure"). I appreciate that. It's something that many providers fail to do. Dr. Gu is empathetic and genuinely cares. In particular, after my injection in Feb. 2020, I still had intense pain after three weeks. I called his office. He gave me a next day appointment, evaluated me and then got me an appointment with a neurosurgeon two days later. Fortunately, the pain stopped four days later and I was able to avoid surgery. In addition, Dr. Gu is a nice guy with a sense of humor and really makes me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Gu.

Dr. Gu was very receptive to my issue and went about treating it without delay. I felt I was in very capable hands.

Don’t waste your time meeting with “Dr” Gu. Incredibly devoid of perspective and obviously desensitized by his position over the years. He recommends Ibuprofen for a herniated disc, while scoffing at your pain. Don’t waste your hard-earned money or time meeting with him. Pointless.
