Dr. Yann Bruno Poncin, MD

Although Dr. Poncin diagnosis on our child was well thought out and he was easy to work with, we found him to be feckless and act with questionable ethics in the way he interacted with us on the one hand and the school district on the other. Due to his shape shifting, we cannot in good faith recommend this psychologist to anyone and advise all to avoid his services.

You remember the old ads, "I'd walk a mile for a Camel?" A mile is nothing. How many miles would I go for Dr. Poncin? I think it's about 3,000 miles to cross the country, isn't it? My children are no longer in programs which allow us to work with Dr. Poncin. What a loss! We live in a society where being judged and shamed on one's parenting is the norm. You will not deal with that if you see Dr. Poncin. He has the emotional maturity, and restraint not to fall into the trap of snap judgments, and The Blame Game, all-too-common in the helping professions. The sad thing is these individuals most often haven't the smallest concept of what is occurring and are too arrogant to understand that they are too much on the periphery to see clearly. Having started off by judging and blaming, they will never be invited into the inner circle where they might be enlightened. If you are having difficulty with your child/ren and it's been greatly exacerbated by the assumptions and judgments of… others, you will find working with Dr. Poncin a healing experience. He's seen a lot and his perspective on behavior that can be alarming for a parent, is valuable and reassuring. His whole demeanor is soothing; his energy is possibly the best I've experienced. There is never any ego to deal with, because he's in it for the right reasons and very clearly loves his work. He will really listen to you and your child and value the input. Dr. Poncin's sensitivity to the feelings of others, and ability to pick up on the most subtle cues is far beyond what is commonly encountered. He is always careful, and professional, and adept in dealing with difficult personalities. His own conduct remains above reproach. I've learned a great deal from observing him.
