Dr. Yasmin Dara Jilla, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Jilla for a couple of years for anxiety and PTSD. She's by far the most professional, compassionate psychiatrists I've seen. She's made changes, as my medical needs have changed and made sure that my medication are always effective. Fantastic, gentle bedside manner.

Dr. Jilla sees both my children. They are very different kids, and she makes them both feel understood and respected. We all like her a lot and my kids feel she has helped them.

I have been working with her for about a year on adult depression. She is open-minded, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain all my options and their consequences, allowing me to make a reasoned choice. She is easy to talk with and we have worked together effectively towards solutions (pharmecutical and theraputic) to my issues.My only small criticism is that I work with her through JSSA in Rockville and she is only there one day a week, so getting appointments on short notice can be a little difficult, though she is very good at returning calls.

Dr. Jilla is the best psychiatrist I have seen in 17 years. She takes the time to listen and seems genuinely caring.
