Dr. Yasmine Natalie Kareem, MD

I have been using Dr. Kareem for several years, she is always friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Able to make appts quickly if you have any problems. She referred me to incredible doctors when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I feel very grateful to have her as my doctor.

Our third daughter is with us because of the care of Dr. Kareem . She is a blessing.

I have seen a LOT of bad doctors, so I was hesitant again, but Dr. Kareem truly blew me away with how thorough and knowledgeable she was! She asked me questions that no other doctor had ever asked me and seemed truly passionate about helping women.

I have seen Dr. Kareem for over 15 years now. She has seen me through infertility, pregnancy, miscarriage and everything in between. She is very professional and caring. Dr Kareem was willing to work with me for a natural birth willing to try different positions and techniques to avoid a medicated birth. I highly recommend her as a OB/GYN!

Had a sudden issue and had to find a new doctor due to mine retiring. Dr Kareem does not spew the confusing doctor talk, she gets right to the point and will answer any questions you have. She was my first female doctor and made me feel very comfortable, So much that I gave her name to all my friends who have also seen her and love her.

She was very rude when I told her I am trying to treat my high cholesterol through diet and don't want to take meds as they can damage liver. She was rude when I told her I didn't want to have a mammogram since I have no family history and am hearing bad things about them. She wanted to push the drugs and the tests, and was downright mean when I didn't go along with that. I would NOT recommend.

Dr. Kareem is very knowledgeable and listens attentively to your main concerns.

Waited in exam room for 80 minutes, they did not know I had not been seen

This woman is confrontational if you question her on anything. Was not comfortable around her. Switching immediately.

I have been seeing Dr. Kareem for some time now and let me say, I would never see anyone else! Dr. Kareem loves her job and her patients and it shows. Dr. Kareem always takes her time, she is thorough and very knowledgeable in her field. Dr. Kareem ALWAYS made me very comfortable during my visits with her. Scheduling an appointment is easy and unlike most facilities, Dr. Kareem's office gets you in with same day or next day appointments! The wait time is typically no more than 10-12 minutes however she is an on call doctor and has had to show up a few minutes late due to a delivery, with that said someone has to deliver the babies, so this comes with the territory and is to be expected I think. Dr. Kareem works with a very courteous staff and they are very organized which is important to me. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kareem. I always send my family members and friends to her and I could not pick a better physician to trust with my health needs.

I read semi-good reviews, so thought I would give Dr. Kareem a shot. This is my first pregnancy and she did not explain ANYTHING!!! She had me get an ultra sound at only 5 weeks (unnecessary and expensive), ordered a horrible, expensive, prescription, and did not talk to me about pregnancy what so ever. She walked in, stuck a HOT tool inside of me, said she would order a prescription, told me to get up for an ultra sound, then left for lunch. Good thing there are books out there to teach a me a bout pregnancy, because I DEFINITELY did not get help from this doctor. Switching ASAP!

Dr. Kareem was prompt, engaging, listened to my concerns, described each step of each procedure and followed up with me. I refer my friends and family to her. She is highly intelligent, gentle and in my opinion an excellent clinician. We are fortunate to have her in our community.

We are on our third baby, I started going to her years before I ever got pregnant just annually and never thought much about it. Visits were as they should be quick and painless. After conceiving our first I realized how much we liked her as our provider, she is always inquisitive, not in a rush and available when we needed her. Like any ob/gyn she is on call on the days we see her, so sometimes you might have to wait but that to be seems to be the nature of the business, someone has to get all of the babies into the world. We wouldn't go anywhere else. And I have recommended her to all of our friends!

I went to Dr Kareem to confirm my pregnancy after only missing my period by a couple days. She did a head to toe exam because I haven't had one in more than a year. She felt something on my exam that was suspicious to her and so she did some bloodwork and an ultrasound. They were inconclusive, so she had me back in a couple days to repeat them. Even though the testing kept coming back inconclusive, she went with her gut that something was wrong and sure enough, as soon as the pregnancy was big enough to see on ultrasound it was found to be in my tube. Dr Kareem's suspicion, persistence, and quick action saved my life.

My insurance only covers a visit to the OBGYN once a year. I moved to the Orlando area and needed a new Doctor so I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kareem on a Friday. During my visit I explained some symptoms I was having and she confirmed that I was having an adverse reaction to my birth control. I requested she changed my birth control due to my failing health. She told me she wanted me to stay on it and then gave me an additional prescription to treat my side effects and told come back in 6 months, even though my insurance would not cover another visit. I again told her I wanted to change my birth control to something that I dont have these horrible side effects, she said no. I followed her out into the hall to talk to her about it, she said to come back in 6 months. When I went to the pharmacy to fill my prescription for the side effects I found out it will be $167 a WEEK! I called her office back on Monday and asked if I could speak to her. I was told that she would not be back until Friday, but they would pass my information on to the Director and have him call me back. He never called. I called back on Friday and they said Dr. Kareem would not be back until Monday. I called on Monday and I was told that she does not speak to patients and that I would have to make an appointment and pay for a consultation if I wanted to talk to her. It is ridiculous that she refused to change my birth control when I was having unhealthy side effects, ridiculous that she gave me such an expensive prescription to deal with my side effects, and ridiculous that her staff refused to let me to talk to her about changing any of my prescriptions without paying to come in. She is money hungry pathetic excuse for a doctor. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I was seeing Dr. Kareem on my second pregnancy. My visits were quick, useless with a bad after-taste:( But I just kept giving her another chance....Finally I decided to switch doctors (that's a pretty good indication things are not ok for a women 8 months pregnant to make such decision). Just a few examples:I was put in the room, waiting for Dr. to show up, I was sitting there for exactly an hour and 5 minutes, listening how Dr. Kareem discusses her mortgage issues with someone behind the wall. When she finally did show up, it took her exactly 2.5 minutes to be done with me. She did not even ask if I had any questions.When I failed my first glucose test, they brought me in for a three hour one, I was pretty worried, the office was supposed to call me back within 24 hours with the results, they never did. So one week later I called them about and they just said that this time I'm fine. When I asked Dr. Kareem to tell me about the whole glucose testing, her answer was not to worry, things like that happen. Now, i really don't need to know all of it in "medical terms" but I think I deserve a simple explanation why certain tests are done, and how the results affect my and my child's health.Oh, there is one thing Dr. Kareem never forgets - to remind you to order your prenatal vitamins from this one particular website where you have to put her name in so she gets the comission.

I thought she had a good background and.sound.group of practitioners behind her. However when I went first time I.didn't find her thorough. I was having problem conceiving and went for some expert advice. She didn't inquire about my past history, my medical conditions or recommend any test. She just proposed a drug without any of the above. I ignored it later as I soon got pregnant. However within a week of her confirming my pregnancy, i started cramping and bleeding. When we rushed to het she really.didn't have an idea as to what to do. She left me to mercy of ultrasound technician and eventually a nurse who couldnt answe my questions. She got no. of tests done but there.was no follow up from her office in this most critical time. Finally when they figured 5hat i had a miscarriage, she gave me an appointment. However she still didnt talk much with us or couldnt answer our questions or addresss our concerns. I am never going back and recommend same to others

Dr. Kareem and her staff are very nice. However,Dr. Kareem is just not thorough in her examinations. She is very aloof and spacy. I didn't feel like I could trust her to manage my prenatal care yet along deliver my baby. She did not review any medical history with me during the first visit. I had to ask her to address areas of concern with regards to my medical history and her response clearly let me know, she never reviewed the documents I completed online more than 24 hours before my appointment. She was completely unaware of everything and didn't even proceed to ask questions beyond " do you have any questions?". I had no idea if I had questions because she did a pap smear and that was the extent of my interaction with her until I raised my concerns about my prior medical history. I decided to give it another chance and returned for a second visit for an ultrasound. I arrived with a full bladder and waited 46 minutes before being called back by her who thought I was there for an annual visit. Huh? This woman clearly doesn't do her homework. I stayed for the ultrasound and vowed to never return. I would not recommend this practice. They are nice, but they don't have their stuff together.

Gyn offices give me anxiety. Dr Kareem and her staff were friendly and helpful. Got an appointment the same week I called and got in and out quickly.
