Dr. Yi Sheng Kam, DO

I like Dr Kam and he is a great patience doctor. He is a 5 stars ?????????? Doctor and no doubt. However the staffs and the system are mess. They didn’t call back from test result when received. They didn’t follow instructions that given when visited. They didn’t fill out the form we left for doctor. We ended up to call after 8 days and the person said I didn’t talk to her by that time so know nothing…. then she called back saying someone else will call me back later.. am I supposed to talk to doctor for my result, still don’t know yet… everything is still unknown until they are happy to call me back… . Anyway, what a mess for those staffs and management team. ????????????

I went to see this doctor last month because of a small lump on my neck. The doctor suggested me to schedule an ultrasound test. The ultrasound test report said a small nodule was seen and it’s possibly a thyroglossal duct cyst. The report recommended contrast-enhanced CT examination for further characterization. I did some homework and investigated it myself. Based on what I learned and because the nodule was small and stable, I decided not to take the recommended CT test immediately. So when the doctor’s office called me, I said so. The lady who called me was obviously unhappy and complained I did not listen to the doctor. Several days later, I received a letter from the doctor’s office, notifying me the doctor had terminated my service because I failed to cooperate with the medical care plan we discussed (but we had never discussed any plan except the recommendation for an ultrasound test). The letter was signed the same day of the phone call and the termination took effect on that… day too. The doctor has overreacted for some reason I do not understand, probably he feels being offended when a patient disagrees with him. The doctor’s decision is emotional and unprofessional. It shows this doctor is not trustworthy. I selected this doctor because of the excellent reviews posted on several websites. But now I realize it’s too good to be true. Most of the 5-star reviews only have one sentence and give no specific details or reasons, which is not normal.
