Amazing doctor, saved my back!

Came in on a Saturday to do a hip pinning as I had fallen on vacation Friday and broke my hip. He was fabulous, professional , could not have fixed me up any faster, everything looks like it was done A+ , recovering at home now.....

After my neck Injury I never thought I'd walk again. Thanks to this amazing surgeon I'm almost back to my old self!

Dr. Samocha is an exceptional Doctor, He is very detailed in explaining the many complex spine issues and is very detailed in his determination for treatment that suits his patients.

Would not recommend. Dr. Samocha did not look at issue was there for. He asked me to do tests where I was supported for false results. Without my permission he went through a cd I brought with multiple other scans then proceeded to tell me how no doctor in the world would touch me all while not looking at me or doing any actual exam on me. Disgusted at the level of care I walked out of the room and made a written complaint expecting some bland attempt at an apology. Instead, for making a formal LEGITIMATE complaint about a bad visit I was removed as a patient of the practice for simply questioning the bad ethicacy of this doctor. If this is how they do business by suppressing your right to voice your concern about your own care then what will they do to you when you are mute, compliant, and willing to be walked all over? Think about that next time you see Dr. Samocha because medicine is not what's he practicing making your body and your quality of life is at risk. His inability to even… fake an apology for that must be noted as part of his character and the character of this practice. Worse, if this practice has a corporate rule about suppressing patient rights to make a complaint over their concerns for quality care rather than address bad medical behavior then anyone who goes here should absolutely question the degree to which you actually have a say in your medical care. If they only choose to comment on the good ratings but fail to address the bad that should be another red flag about the inability to innovatively problem solve unprofessionalism within their practice.

My husband went for office visit for back. Doctor Samocha sat and explained all options, we decided on surgery. Surgery was scheduled very fast , spent 1 day in the hospital and today is his 6 week check up. Doing very well. Thanks Doc.

great doctor. excellent pre and post op care. neck pain is almost non-existent since surgery. will return to dr samocha for care of my lower back

Dr. Samocha is a great doctor at the Fondren Orthopedic clinic. He helped me relieve my back pain, gave me great advice, and made my life better. I've had back pain for some years now, and after seeing Dr. Samocha, I am able to exercise, walk pain free, and able to sleep without pain. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone in need.

I got an appointment promptly. He only cared about following a linear treatment plan. He did not care or address my pain issues pre or post treatment. He stated I was not a candidate for surgery (later found out I was and had a very successful surgery) but would not discuss alternative treatment plans or make recommendations for ex. a pain management specialist. When asked what he would do he said "I don't answer that question". He even rolled his eyes when my friend asked him a question that he had answered earlier. How rude!! He may or may not be a good technician but as a doctor and care taker of people suffering and in need of out of box thinking and compassion he leaves a lot to be desired. I would not recommend him.
