Dr. Yolanda R Alonzo, DO

I've seen Dr. Alonzo a handful of times and was initially excited about having her as my primary care physician. However, I have been shocked and insulted by her on two separate occasions. Her demeanor to me on these occasions was extensively rude. I did not ask Dr. Alonzo for medications. I was not misdiagnosed, I simply was treated in a less than capacity. I shared my experiences with another healthcare professional whom told me that her behavior was demeaning and unprofessional, and that I needed to change to a physician who would be happy treating me with dignity and respect.

I'm sure this lady means well, but she is not a professional doctor. Problem is, she is rude, inconsiderate of others, and focuses on HERSELF. For a nearly 60 year old woman she dresses like she's 14!! I hope she realizes we (the patient) do not care to look at her body. We are here for help. She stays on her little computer and has never put her hands on me. Never once has she listened to my heart or lungs. she also keeps switching jobs every other week. That should tell you all you need to know.

I'm very surprised at the negative reviews. Computer usage has affected how Drs work now. Due to my chronic illness I see a lot of Drs . I haven't seen any specialist or other Dr that have EMR that just sit and talk for hours. I have to say though that I liked Dr. Alonzo and she was very caring,helpful and right on the money with my diagnosis, treatment and care.

Dr. Alonzo is a wonderful doctor. I'm very surprised by the negative comments. It has been my experience working with physicians around the world in the Army that these negative comments are the result of patients who have been denied drugs. Drug seekers make the worst kind of patient. There is no way to please them. If you submit to their demands, it will cause harm to their person and may jeopardize the doctors license. If you don't give them what they crave, they go on rants like those below.

This was the worst experience I have had with a physician! I would not nor will not refer this woman to my friends. Her bedside manner is less than satisfactory. Unfortunately there is not less than 1 on the scale. It has been my experience that doctors who address the needs of patients, particularly seniors, have a good understanding of the patients needs and current functional skills. As soon as I can locate a better doctor, I will transfer my medical records, even if I have to drive into the city and hire a driver to take me. This is not a doctor, it is a woman on a power trip.

Dr. Alonzo is awesome and very caring. She has gone out of her way many times for me and my family!! She takes the time and actually wants me to understand the plan of care and is always very knowledgeable and cheerfully answers all questions. My family and I trust her completely and feel she always has our health as her highest priority. Dr. Alonzo goes over all area of concern thoroughly, spending way above average time listening to my concerns completely and addressing each issue presented. She makes you feel important. I have and will continue to recommend her for anyone wanting a physician who takes the time necessary to accurately diagnose. Dr. Alonzo cares therefore she listens . The staff is amazing as well.

Dr Alonzo is a very rude doctor. When she is talking to you she keeps her back to you. She does not answer your questions. I don't think she hears them. It is like you are only there so she can charge your insurance company.

Dr. Alonzo has to be the most disorganized doctor I know of. She rambles on and on and on.....never making a bit of sense!

Dr. was extremly late and did not apologize. Made me feel like I was wasting her time when in fact she wasted mine.
