Dr. Yona Barash, MD

I was referred to Barash for a cyst removal. He has all the typical, undesirable behaviors that make male doctors trained in western medicine dangerous. He had not interest in actual patient needs or experience. He continued to insist I follow his simplistic approach to conditions well-outside his specialty regardless of my medical history and experience. He tried to refer me to seeing a doctor which was over 5 hours a way and didn't think that was outrageous. Was unfamiliar with many of my conditions but still thought his limited expertise in surgery qualified him to pontificate. He denigrated nurses as unqualified to see patients as PCP. He claimed seeing a Generalist to lance a boil was a bad medical decision and such simple procedures should be done by a surgeon. ugh. Luckily my issue was not one he could address so I was able to leave safely. He is probably fine for very straight-forward cases with no co-occuring conditions or complications. Anyone with more than a single… issue, a woman, or a BIPOC should avoid the office. Also, his chosen form of lobby entertainment is hyper-conservative conspiracy theory radio. This alone nearly got me to leave. Any doctor okay with a program denigrating immigrants and POC generally should not be seeing those patients in the first place.

Dr. B. Has been my Oncologist/Surgeon for 10+years. He has incredible insight beyond the normal scope and delivers excellent, cutting edge procedures that are patient based, not just clinical. His follow up care is life long...priceless care.

Dr,. Barash is one of the most humble and knowledgeable man I've known. He is one I can truly trust in his medical opinion, and call "doctor", in every sense of the word. He has done so much for my mother and I am always grateful to him for the help he provided medical and financially. Thank you for continuing the legacy of the title.

This physician performs outstanding surgery. He has a lot of experience and he really cares about his patients. The follow thru after the surgery is flawless.
