Long wait, doesn't seem like she wants to talk to the patient. Impatient and dismissive.

Awful. Placed a paltry referral that was denied due to lack of detail. The appointment was rushed and she didn't listen at all.

I have struggled with my iron levels and was experiencing fatigue. I told Dr. Mabasa my symptoms and that I was hoping for a blood test. She told me this wasn’t a good use of her time and that I needed to stop being a hypochondriac. She prescribed me Hydroxyzine for my anxiety that made me make this appointment even though I declined and said I just wanted a lab order. I don’t understand why this woman is even a doctor if she doesn’t want to help people. I didn’t fill the prescription and made an appointment somewhere else where they confirmed that I needed an iron supplement.

I saw Dr. Mabasa at the Mountlake Terrace Urgent Care and she was awful. I have a sprained wrist and she didn't even try to manipulate my hand/wrist to see where the injury was in the wrist. I had some questions about my X-ray and she said she'd check with the radiologist, then returned literally 90 seconds later, saying that the radiologist saw nothing. Later, in the notes in MyChart, it said that I had "full range of motion" (which I still do not have, three weeks later) and that I had no swelling, which was not true (still have small amount of swelling). Radiologist notes also say that there were no follow up questions and that the actual radiologist would contact me after an official reading days later, meaning she lied about it in my appt. I absolutely do not trust this doctor and advise others to beware! Now going to an osteo specialist because the brace she gave me has healed my wrist incorrectly and damaged my wrist further.

It’s so sad that UW medicine, which is a reputable medical center known for patient care, hires unqualified doctors like her. She doesn’t care about her patients at all, lacks patience and empathy, and as you can see from most of her previous reviews, her professional knowledge is questionable, with several misdiagnoses. I would recommend avoiding her for any serious medical problems you may have.

awful! worsened an existing back problem I already had after the visit and her incompetent procedures. would not recommend her to anyone. terrible bedside manners and preferred gaslighting me instead of actually listening to my problems

She was great! We connected immediately. She listened, answered my questions honestly and completely. Was very professional and knew exactly what to do. So glad she was there for me, wished I could select her as my primary care physician, but she only does urgent care. Good place for someone with her expertise.

Who gives Doctor Degrees to people like Yvette Mabasa? Why does the University of Washington hire such unclassified people to work for them? Totally incompetent at her job!

This is the worst doctor I have ever met in my life. I have no idea why UW Medicine hires this shitty person. Such a disgrace to UW Medicine’s reputation or "Doctor" in general. She is so rude, extremely impatient, and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend her to the person I hate most.

I went to urgent care and had the worst experience I've ever had with a physician with Dr. Mabasa. The entire visit was less than 5 minutes and she didn't ask me any questions about my symptoms or the history of my condition, berated me about my decision to come in- even though I was instructed to from a physician, and did it all with such an irreverent attitude that I can't help but wonder if her intention was to make my concerns appear invalid. Mind you, the doctor I had seen about my condition before Dr. Mabasa told me it was very serious, and when I asked her why that professional's opinion was so wildly different from her own she could give me no answer. Even if Dr. Mabasa believed my condition to be different than I was told it was, she could have at least assessed it properly and gotten the preliminary facts so I could know if improvements had been made. Truly an experience I wouldn't wish anyone to have. There are so many ways to care for patients that don't involve dismissing… their concerns based on situational circumstances and refusing to provide an adequate assessment.
