Dr. Yvonne Nelson, MD

Dr. Nelson is a great doctor. She hears her patients out and always gets to the problem at hand. She kind and compassionate a great asset to have in her field.

I appreciate the fact that I'm able to have a dialogue with Dr. Nelson and I never feel rushed. I've always felt comfortable with her recommendations.

Dr. Nelson was terrific when I started seeing her as my Primary 10 years ago. However, with recent minor but uncomfortable conditions in the last two years, she has seemed too casual & dismissive about them. I went to see other doctors, & one was able to empirically diagnose me based on symptoms, & treat & cure my conditions. During a recent app't with Dr. Nelson, I was told by her in the exam room that it was time for my annual physical. No one told me prior to the appointment, and I needed to be fasting for blood work, which I easily could have done. When I told Dr. Nelson no one told me prior to the app't, she said, 'Well, I just looked in your file & it says here it's time for your annual physical.' BOOM. Well, someone should have looked prior to my app't & told me. There is no excuse for inconveniencing someone by being unprepared & offering bad service. After that, Dr. Nelson said nothing, didn't even ask me how I'd been feeling. Not a word was said. Pretty uncomfortable.

She is always willing to fit you into her schedule and very thorough. I have been seeing her for a number of years and love her. So much so that after I moved 40 miles away, I continue to use her services.
