Dr. Zachary Michael Hurwitz

For 35 years I've enjoyed bodybuilding but unfortunately it has taken a toll on me. For the last two years I woke between 2:30 and 3:30 AM with both arms on fire due to severe cubital and carpal tunnel nerve impingement. My neurosurgeon recommended Dr. Hurwitz so I booked an appointment. He was courteous, concise and made an accurate diagnosis within 15 minutes; I did not feel rushed! Had surgery seven weeks ago on my right hand and elbow followed by the left arm a week ago and all I can say is I forgot what it was like not to have constant, burning pain. I am the world's worst patient (my father was a surgeon) but Dr. Hurwitz was brilliant at handling my anxieties and I have NO peripheral neuropathy in either arm. Was prepared for 50% reduction in symptoms completely blown away by what I would consider 100% success. There were some "glitches" with the Mercy staff but when I mentioned my concerns to Dr.Hurwitz everything had been corrected by my second surgery and I've received two… thank you notes from the support team. Thank you Dr. Hurwitz, I can hardly wait to get back in the gym.

From a size “J” to a beautiful size “D” this was no small task. Pun intended. Dr. Hurwitz incredible skills and attention to detail saved the blood supply to my nipples and provided me with beautiful, perfect breasts that have reactive, normal looking nipples. This has changed me love and I highly recommend his outstanding services.

Dr. Hurwitz is the best! I had seen him for a second opinion and he saved me from major disfiguring surgery that my other doctor recommended.

Dr. Hurwitz, what can I say. He is a phenomenal doctor and surgeon! From the first appointment to now post surgery and post op appointments. Hurwitz has listened to every concern and helped me understand every thing that was going to happen before surgery and after surgery. His bed side manner has been the best I have ever received. Everything I asked of him, he did an more during surgery. Hurwitz is such a caring doctor. Before surgery at my very first appointment, he told me that it was a no for now for the surgery I needed because I was in the middle of loosing weight. He said, come back to me in 6 months when you hit your goal and we will get this approved by insurance and get surgery done. Hurwitz is extremely encouraging, it made me work much harder to loose the weight. I came back 6 ish months later, lost more weight than expected (which he was happy about). So the process started. Its been a great journey, and all my incision lines are so small. He really did amazing work. I… would absolutely recommend Dr. Hurwitz.

My concerns were ignored and because of that I became very sick. Ultimately loosing a breast.

I was referred to Dr. Hurwitz by Dr. Mollet whom I had never consulted with regarding a large squamous cell carcinoma on the inside of my right knee. Dr Hurwitz appeared to have never read the diagnostic report. He expressed that the squamous cell carcinoma was "quite remarkable and that he had never seen anything quite like it." I asked about the possibility that the skin cancer might be invasive. He seemed puzzled, and confused regarding my question, left the room to talk to Dr. Mollet, returned and never answered my question. He discussed the upcoming surgery on my leg. Including an arteriogram, and EKG, and vein specialist which had to take place prior to surgery. he then informed me that a lower leg muscle would have to be detached from the achellies tendon in order to cover the "hole" in my leg from the surgery. I was shocked by this unexpected news since the diagnostic report stated that the skin cancer was surface and in place although there was a slight possibility that… it could be invasive. I decided at that point to get a second opinion which was totally different from Dr. Hurwitz's recommendation. I did not have to have major surgery have an EKG, have an arteriogram nor see a vein specialist. The squamous cell carcinoma has been successfully removed without major surgery.

Nothing but a great experience ! My wife is thrilled with the results and we couldn't have asked for more courtesy and professional decorum. Highly recommend him for your next procedure.
