I had foot surgery from Vaupel in 2024 and he messed up my foot so badly that I had a revision in 2025 from a real surgeon and will need addition surgery and perhaps an amputation. At numeroous post-surgical visits to Vaupel I showed him my toe that was hanging down and dragging on the ground after his surgical procedure. I had a bunion and a hammertoe which I entrusted him to correct but he disabled me instead. I am literally disabled because of him. Do not use this man for any medical intervention. He denied that my toe was hanging down and dragging. It was obviously messed up yet he stated that my toes were perfectly aligned. Run away from him.

The very best in Metro Detroit for ankle issues. Dr. Vaupel was highly recommended by other Ortho specialists and my GP. I couldn’t be more satisfied with Dr. Vaupel and the successful surgical outcome. His bedside manner, surgical methods, care and attention 365 days a year and 24 hours a day is unmatched. Run (if you can) don’t walk to Dr. Vaupel.

The wait was a little long, but it was worth it. Dr. Vaupel was willing to help me after 2 other doctors wouldn't help me. So I'm going finally have the surgery that I needed.

Dr Vaupel was extremely Knowledgeable and spent quality time with me answering all questions and explaining my diagnosis of a broken toe. The staff was nice and I did not spend much time in the waiting room. I’m grateful to have been referred here
