Dr. Zev Marc Gensler, MD

I wasn’t sure what to make of Dr Gensler the first time we met him. He isn’t the silly, play with your children type and I didn’t know if we would see him again. The second time I realized that sillynis grest but even better is the fact that he is very calming with the kids, patient with a nervous parents questions, and just puts everyone at ease. I can see why he might not be the right doctor for everyone but as a nervous new parent, and now 4+ years later (and 2 years in with my second) he had become our pediatrician and we will miss him in Forest Hills.

Dr. Gensler is our Primary Dr and we have been seeing him for the last 2 years. He might look a little intimidating at first but he is very sweet. He always answer our questions in details, and never sugar coat things. He never second guess his diagnoses and always right to the point. We like him very much.

My family has seen Dr. Gensler for 10+ years. He is one of the sweetest, kindest, gentlest pediatricians we have ever met! He played with all 3 of my children to make them not afraid. He spent time with my 12 week old son during an emergency surgery. We were terrified. Dr. Gensler was there to hold our hands and make us feel that things were going to be alright. The first review was written before Dr. Gensler joined the practice in Forest Hills. Therefore, it is reflection of other doctors in the practice and not Dr. Gensler. He sits on the exam table with the children. He has carried on of my children into the E.R. when she was sick with a fever. He treats the children he sees like his own family. he calls back. No doctors return phone calls anymore. He is personable. he has a wonderful bedside manner. We love him!

I would give this crap hole place 0 stars ... Went for a visit bc my son had a fever never gave me meds nothing ll they can say was dont give him sugar which i thought was odd the day after ..After walking in with my 2 yr old son who I told was lethargic from his 105 fever they didn't care AT ALL... They told me I still had to wait as a result my son ended up having a seizure because of there lack of knowledge I advise everyone to stay away from this rat hole!!!!!!!

Dr. Gensler is a good doctor, in terms of knowing his stuff. However, he isn't the fun-loving kind that will play with your child and make them not afraid to go to the doctor. In fact, he barely talks to the kids. I think he's good at what he does, he could just do the "bedside manner" better, considering he's dealing with CHILDREN.
