Dr. Zsuzsa Kovacs, MD

I have had very negative encounters with dr Kovacs. She is very inappropriate provider, when I explained to her what type of problem I had she asked me to touch myself in that place first. She should have a nurse in the room or assistant, she can’t be alone with the pt. She’s very rude, her bedside manner is very poor. I highly not recommend her to anyone.

Horrible doctor, rude, mean and very disrespectful. Her bedside manner is absolutely awful. Avoid her at all costs.

It's been 6 months and I still think about my negative encounters with this highly inappropriate provider. She should have a nurse in the room when she is with patients so she can be held more accountable.

Biased and bigoted. I found that Dr. Kovacs spent over half my appointment trying to tell me how to think and live my life. Such bigotry is an extremely common theme among other low ratings I have read about her. She doesn't even TRY to understand people who are different from her or learn how we deserve to be treated; we are just a burden in her eyes. She wouldn't try any of the abundant alternatives to her preferred ways of treating patients; she expected me to accommodate her, not the other way around, even though some of her preferred methods are backwards, unnecessarily harmful garbage. You can tell she is stuck in a very toxic past. When she asked in an immature, rude voice why a gynecology appointment was so unpleasant to me, I said it is because I have a history of being sexually assaulted--9 people so far, starting when I was 8 years old. When I began to describe some of the traumatic events as she insisted (which was unnecessary, in my opinion, because I did not feel… comfortable talking about it and had already said that none of the sexual assault could have given me an STD, made me pregnant, or damaged my body), she practically scoffed with a judgemental, unimpressed look on her face that she didn't even try to hide and told me to "grow up" and "get over it". One would hope a GYNECOLOGIST would have a better understanding of the definition of sexual assault and how a lifetime of being sexually assaulted can affect a woman's ability to trust people around her genitals. Believe it or not, but "get over it" are not magical words that, once uttered, immediately cure a woman on her borderline PTSD. Gynecologists' offices are supposed to be safe spaces where you can discuss your history of sexual assault without being judged. This was not a safe space... at all. She made unsolicited, mean comments about my personality and often makes patients cry due to her cruelty (she made me sob, too). I spent about 90 minutes waiting for her despite only arriving 15 minutes early. I wish I had followed through with leaving after I had waited for over an hour, which I almost did multiple times simply because I viewed the long wait as a very bad sign (not because I felt impatient).

I am currently seeing her for my pregnancy. I am 7 months now. Every time I go in she gives me a hug and makes me feel very comfortable! She addresses any concern I have and is very knowledgeable. I am so happy I found her!!!

Do not go to this doctor if you are not white and skinny. Kovacs will shame you just for existing. This was my very first OBGYN visit and I was apprehensive and afraid of what could go wrong. It was worse than even my worst fears. I go in for an IUD consultation and a pap smear. She spends 30 minutes talking about my slightly overweight BMI (which if you know anything about it, you know it's a defective and inaccurate system), tells me to go on Weight Watchers, and gives other unsolicited advice. She also questions my anti-depressant and benzo prescriptions and i'm forced to disclose diagnoses that should only be between my psychiatrist and me. By this time, my time has now run over and i'm late for work. My appointment started at 8:30am, a time I chose specifically so I could be in the office by 10:00am. I didn't actually get into the stirrups until about 9:30 because she was blabbering unwarranted, unoriginal advice that overweight people hear literally every day. To top it off, she… touches my hair without consent, patting me like an animal and asks if it's real. I'm a black woman and I guarantee she would not have treated me this way had I been white and thin. I will be looking into further options and reporting her to my insurance or whoever else I can. Do not visit this doctor. Period.

The doctors assistant was rather rude and arrogant, definitely not what you want when you go to the ob.

I'm sorry to read someone had a bad experience with Dr. Kovacs. She helped me and my husband with our first pregnancy tremendously. She tells it like it is, which I personally LOVE but I could see how that approach might not work for some.

Avoid her at all cost, long wait time, zero commitment and lack of knowledge.
