I switched to Dr. Fritz due to insurance changes but had such a negative experience that I ultimately returned to my former provider — paying out-of-network just to receive safe, competent care. From the start, there were serious red flags. At my first visit, I was handed a form that included another patient’s completed responses — including their full name — which is a major breach of confidentiality. Dr. Fritz also struggled with basic technical tasks that every other provider in the office was using (telehealth, voicemail, prescription submission), and instead of seeking support, she blamed me when these didn’t work, particularly related to my national chain pharmacy that I can't name because it'll get flagged but starts with a c then adds a v and finishes with an s. The turning point came when I left a message over a weekend asking about a script that had still not been sent despite 2 prior requests and if she could look into it on Monday. She called back immediately, furious,… and spent the call berating me for taking up too much of her time and affecting her income. I was shocked and hurt by the tone and intensity of her call. I was left in tears after being spoken to so harshly. With support from my therapist, I emailed her that I was transferring my care. A week later, I received a formal letter stating that she was terminating our relationship because she didn’t have “the resources to adequately address your perceived individual needs.” Wow. My "perceived," not real, needs. Expecting timely refills, respectful communication, and basic professionalism aren't “perceived” needs. I’ve since learned that others have had similar experiences so at least I'm not alone. Do not see Dr. Fritz. In my experience, she was disorganized, inflexible, and emotionally reactive in ways that were inappropriate and hurtful — especially for someone working in mental health.
