Grant Bursell, PA-C

I have cancer now after being under the care of Grant Bursell since 2022. I advised him that I still had rectal bleeding following my colonoscopy in 2022 ( bleeding was the reason I got the colonoscopy in the first place ) and also abdominal pain with bouts of diarrhea and constpation along with nausea and vomiting. He said it was caused by anxiety and all in my head and that I had attention seeking behaviors and recommended a psychiatrist. He says the bleeding was hemorrhoids. I went in in 2024 and advised him I could feel a hard nodule and still had rectal bleeding and he didn’t even do a rectal exam but advised it was hemorrhoids. I finally had enough and switched to a new GI at Kootenai GI. I had another colonoscopy which the biopsy showed cancer. Follow up Pet scan and pelvic mri confirmed stage 2. I am now in a fight to save my life. This is absolutely the worst experience of my life. BEWARE of this medical provider. You may end up like me,

He said the bleeding was caused by hemorrhoids. I bled for 3 years with no further help from this man. He did not even do a rectal exam when I told him I had a nodule growing in my canal with bleeding. I tried switching GI providers but was not allowed to. He should not be in the medical field. Good luck to anyone seeing this selfish, unprofessional quack. You may end up like me. In the fight of my life.

I cannot say enough good things about my visit. While Ive the unfortunate opportunity to see many different doctors, Grant stands out from the masses with his attention to detail and care. It was the first time in a while that I didn't have anxiety that I was asking too many questions or talking too much. Even with the quality care that I've received through Multicare, I've often feel a rush to get the information out, the diagnosis done & rxs sent. Grant asked ME about me, not just my pain or symptoms. He took the time to share stories or experiences which reminded me of more things to discuss and also helped us to eliminate questions or fears that I could have been missed. When someone like myself, who had serious anxiety & PTSD, Grant made me feel seen, cared for and well taken care of. I feel like, with his professional insight & his attention to detail, I have less worries about getting to the root of my medical issues that led me to his office.
