Marianne M. Hagood, MSN, FNP-C

With the dream of retiring on the Carolina coast, Marianne Hagood and husband Mark decided to make the move early and purchased a home in Seabrook. Shortly after relocating to the Lowcountry in the fall of 2018, Mrs. Hagood joined the staff of Beaufort Memorial Express Care and Occupational Health.
A board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2014, Mrs. Hagood previously worked in a busy primary care clinic near Richmond, Virginia, diagnosing and treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses. Prior to that, she was a registered nurse for six years at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia, where she worked in the oncology/medical-surgical unit, postpartum unit and nursery unit.
Mrs. Hagood started her career in advertising, working for eight years in commercial printing. She spent the next 10 years raising her two sons before becoming inspired to pursue a career in nursing.
An avid swimmer, Mrs. Hagood enjoys swimming anywhere she can find water - at the …beach, in a pool or off the community dock near her home. She and her husband, Mark, are looking forward to buying a boat and fishing in the rivers and creeks around Beaufort.
"As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I am passionate about treating the whole person, not just one particular problem. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages, and I make it my goal to educate patients about their health, and encourage them to take control of it and seek ways to improve it."
