Dr. Nathan Hardy, MD

Dr. Nathan Hardy is an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Perinatal Psychiatry, as well as Adult Psychiatry. He offers both in-office psychiatric appointments in Philadelphia and virtual online visits throughout PA, NJ, and NY.

Dr. Hardy treats children, adolescents, and adults with Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, disorders co-morbid with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depressive Disorders, and PTSD among others. He has a special interest in treating young children and parents of young children, and has completed additional training in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health where he gained expertise in the evaluation and treatment of peripartum mothers as well as preschool-aged youth.

Dr. Hardy creates comprehensive treatment plans that may include medication management, specific psychotherapy recommendations, parenting strategies, and coordination with school (if applicable). College, Medical School, Residency, and Fellowship

Dr. Hardy graduated from Cornell University. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he was awarded the Dean’s Award for outstanding contributions to the college. After medical school, Dr. Hardy completed his general psychiatry residency at Northwestern Medicine, where he was awarded a teaching award from the medical students. He then completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian’s joint program affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University, serving as Chief Fellow in his final year. Dr. Hardy then completed an additional fellowship in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Hardy is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Patients located in these areas can call our main scheduling line, to discuss providers licensed in their area, or to discuss an in-office appointment at their local Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates’ location.

We are a fee-for-service psychiatric practice and do not accept insurance directly. However, many patients can receive reimbursement for the majority of our fees, by submitting to their insurance company.
