Dr. Schopis has received numerous honors and awards throughout his medical training. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Ohio State University. He then received the Dean's Scholarship and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) which is the national medical honor society from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. During his residency and fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, he received awards as Outstanding House Officer. Dr.Schopis and his impressive academic accomplishments along with his strong passion for patient care have earned him an excellent reputation in NYC. Dr. Schopis has frequently published in medical literature and has presented abstracts and presentations in gastroenterology. Dr. Schopis and the Manhattan Gastroenterology practice are affiliated with the world-renowned NY Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
