Arrogante y poco profesionales.

The Dr didn't introduce himself. Only spoke to my 15 year old (in Spanish). Didn't ask or gave us or the patient an opportunity to ask questions. When I introduce myself as an anesthesiologist and ask about the anesthesia he became very defensive, rude and uncomfortable. He said that he will do whatever he wanted to do. He even mention he may give my son ketamine stating it is the standard of care in the USA. As an anesthesiologist I will never give a patient the large cocktail of drugs he wanted to give my son, much less ketamine. The drug have too many side effects and IS NOT THE STANDARD OF CARE IN THE USA. To top it all he said "if you don't like it go find another surgeon". Actually that was the best advise he gave us. The worse bedside manners I have ever seen in a Dr in my 20 years in practice as a Dr. It was my impression he felt threatened when another doctor question the reason of the many drugs and requested a specific kind of anesthetic, after all it is my son and… anesthesia is what I do for a living, he can learn a few things. He needs to learn about bed side manners, professionalism, rapport, inform consent and anesthetics pharmacology. I will never recommend him for anything related to dentistry.
