Dr. Mona Bhalla
I'm a board-certified Naturopathic Physician from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon who's been practicing for over 18 years. I am a specialist at treating chronic health conditions including autoimmune, anxiety & depression, hormone issues & women's health.
Many people don't know this, but Naturopathic Doctors can provide all the same services as a conventional MD including writing prescriptions, diagnosing, ordering tests, and referring you to a specialist. We're different from conventional doctors in that we have a wide variety of healing tools available to us, including diet changes, supplementation, acupuncture, massage, physical therapy, and more.
There's significant clinical evidence that most chronic conditions can be reversed with lifestyle changes. Most people don't know this either, because it doesn't typically come up in conversations with their doctor. My role with my patients is to play educator and guide as they work to change their life in order to manage chronic health conditions. There's so much misinformation around health today, and I will help you ground all your efforts in real, clinical data. I've witnessed hundreds of patients over the course of my career reverse chronic conditions which are deemed "incurable" by conventional medicine. There's no magic pill you can take for this, it comes from doing the work of changing your underlying health habits.
The benefit of having a doctor on your side as you do this is we can use real targeted data and evidence-based treatments to get you specifically the treatment you need. Each of my patients is vastly different and has different needs. Through advanced testing, we can learn specifically what's going on in your body, including nutrient levels, hormone levels, specific toxins, and even neurotransmitters. This allows me to direct treatments so you can see results more quickly.
