Effiem Obasi MSN, FNP, PMHNP has dedicated over a decade of her life to treating children, adults, and elderly populations of diverse backgrounds. She has specialized training focused on cultural competency and inclusivity. She graduated magna cum lade from Saint Louis University with her Master's degree and family nurse practitioner certification. Currently, she is completing her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification to expand her breadth of practice. Effiem has extensive experience working with developmentally disabled populations. She has had the privilege to work in various clinical settings which include group homes, assisted living, skilled nursing homes, and inpatient units at various hospitals in California, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Effien King is a great Provider and very attentive. I felt understood during our appointment and it was easy to transfer my care from elsewhere due to my insurance change. I would definitely recommend.

Effiem and her staff are extremely accommodating and go the extra mile to ensure your needs met. I have struggled with finding a successful depression medication for years. Effiem has worked diligently with me to find a medication that works. I am finally on the road to managing my depression and getting my life back, all thanks to Effiem! Could not recommend her enough!

Dr Obasi is the most thoughtful, thorough and patient provider I’ve ever been to in terms of my mental health. She takes the time to talk through what is happening to comes to term with a diagnosis which is so difficult to find in these times. Dr Obasi truly cares for her patients and her guidance and support has lifted me to such a high place. She has gotten me on the right medication, mixed with daily meditation and her therapy. Thank you Dr Obasi!
