The best thing about inpatient care is helping patients improve, feel better and return home. I encourage patients to ask questions to help them better understand their conditions and the steps they can take to improve their overall health. I find that patients are more motivated to take charge of their health if they possess a better understanding of their overall well-being.
I like that healthcare is always moving and evolving. Treatments change and our understanding about disease processes change as well, so it keeps me continually learning and continually improving.
