Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Science was always a favorite subject of mine. Getting to know the body and how it works just seemed like something everyone could benefit from knowing. Once I began to learn about medicine and surgery, I knew I wanted to use that knowledge to care for others.What I want my patients to know about me:I wanted to take care of people ever since I was a young girl. I have been doing that very thing since 1990 in one career or another.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I have a passion for medical mission trips. Going to other places in the world and caring for people that have very limited means for care makes my heart happy. I also enjoy my family and caring for animals.
