Courtney Wyant, FNP-C

Courtney chose a career as a nurse practitioner because it gave her a chance to assist patients in preventing and managing illness and disease. She developed a passion for gastroenterology while working in an endoscopy lab. Courtney also has special interests in hepatology and nutritional health.Courtney credits a 10th grade teacher, Ms. Crawford, for believing in her, challenging her to think outside the box and helping her to envision the future she is living today. Ms. Crawford encouraged Courtney to continue her education and to never stop learning.Courtney is motivated each day by the opportunity to help improve the lives of her patients. She enjoys educating both patients and families on how to care for themselves by making better, more informed choices. She tries to help her patients feel comfortable and share a smile or laugh with them when possible.In her free time, Courtney volunteers at local food pantries and enjoys reading, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, traveling, yoga …and time with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking and eating good food.Healthcare is a partnership between the patient and the provider. I am an active listener who enjoys caring for and helping patients set realistic health goals. Witnessing positive health outcomes in the patients I serve is the reason I became a nurse practitioner.
