Summary

Watching my grandfather battle cancer was difficult, but it was also what inspired me to pursue medicine as a career. I saw how much of a difference a good nurse, physician assistant or doctor could make in my grandfather's day. I wanted to be like one of them. Shortly after his passing, I left my career in accounting and started my journey to become a nurse practitioner. \n As a NP in women's health, I hope to provide my patients holistic care with compassion and empathy. I believe every patient deserves to be viewed under a multidimensional lens. People are complex and their stories are unique; I think their medical care should be as well. I strive to listen attentively so my patients feel heard and understood as both patients and individuals. Each patient should feel at ease bringing up concerns or issues they are facing. I want them to know I value their autonomy and respect their beliefs. I will do whatever is possible to accommodate their needs and preferences. \n Working with a team of providers is one of my favorite parts of the job. Teamwork is essential in medical care because it leads to more positive outcomes. When we work together, it is less likely that anything is overlooked, and offers the possibility of more treatment options. I also appreciate being able to seek insight from my colleagues when I have uncertainties or questions; I never hesitate to ask for input that could benefit my patients. \n Just as each patient is different, each patient encounter gives me a chance to learn something new. I believe it is important for every provider to keep learning, and I am committed to doing that. Medicine is my calling and my passion, and I am meant to be on this exciting and rewarding journey to help and heal with intention, compassion and empathy. \n Cooking and trying new restaurants are two activities that keep me and my husband busy outside of work. I appreciate all types of food from different places and cultures. I also enjoy spending time with our Basset Hound, Buddha. On weekends, you'll often find me running races; I've been a dedicated runner since being invited to walk on to the cross country and track teams at Wofford College. I have qualified for the Boston Marathon, and I intend to run that in the future.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
