"She rolled casually into the hospital at 8:50 am for my 8 am appointment. I am a single mom and my schedule is very tight so I always try to get the first appointment of the day because it is more efficient. I was not seen until 8:55 because she was not even on hospital grounds. I completely understand when an office is running late because it is later in the day and they fall behind as they are giving the patients the care that they need. (I know they are given short windows of time for each patient and it often isn't enough for the patients needs.. I definitely appreciate that) This was not because she was caring for patients. This was simply a case of an arrogant young Dr. (or nurse practioner) being disrespectful by showing up for work almost an hour late. I eventually went out to the front desk and said I really couldn't wait any longer and was told that she had just that moment arrived at the clinic and "it wouldn't be that much longer" (LOL!!!) I do have sympathy for the odd… occurrence like a fender bender or traffic delay but there isn't very much traffic here in Central MA. and if you are going to be THAT late to even arrive for your job it should at least warrant a phone call to the office... so maybe the staff could have let me know and i could reschedule and keep my own day on track. My entire day is now thrown off because she didn't feel like coming to work. (She had her makeup done and her hair was clearly "done" so she definitely did not appear to have been in a mad rush ."
