I want to share my experience with Jacqueline, not in spite, but to give honest feedback. Jacqueline doesn’t seem to grasp that she works for her clients to achieve their goals. I was in an extremely stressful situation at work, so I told her I wanted to hold off on reducing the dosage of a medication I was going off, for an additional month. Her response was she “wouldn’t allow it”. Later I brought up that I wanted to try something other than Duloxetine, since it was causing weight gain, and she told me she “wouldn’t authorize it”. So I reduced the dose myself, and feel much better. When I was out of town for the holidays, I got stuck for an extra week due to winter storms. I only brought enough medication for my trip. I called, texted, and sent an email explaining my situation, and she never responded. When I brought this up in the following session, she said she “wasn’t going to have a session via text and that it was my responsibility to manage my medication”. She clearly never… read, or listened, to my messages since I just needed her to call in the medication I was out of. She also called in the wrong dosage a few times. Jacqueline requested I see her every two weeks. I did so for a few months, and then I needed to scale back the frequency to once a month due to financial reasons. Jacqueline made me feel uncomfortable for this. I only needed to reschedule an appointment once during the several months I saw her and did so a week in advance. She brought this up in a later session stating that “I canceled appointments and she was having to turn other people away so what were my plans with her moving forward”. Jacqueline also has a very textbook approach to psychiatry. She didn’t approach her therapy with me on an individual basis. She appears to lean on her degree, not actual life experience. These are just a few examples, there are more. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Jacqueline. Respect your wellbeing and seek someone else for your needs, and to help you achieve your goals.
