Kathy was raised in Denver, Colorado but considers herself a Grand Junction native as she has lived here for the past 26 years. She attended Mesa State College and graduated with honors to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. Kathy later enrolled in an accelerated nursing program at Colorado Mesa University as she continued her master’s degree and became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. During her time at Colorado Mesa University, Kathy was a university instructor for the DNP, MSN, BSN, and RN-BSN programs. She was recently a nursing instructor for the undergraduate level at Colorado Christian University as well. Finally, at the end of Kathy’s education and career, she achieved a post-master’s certificate from the University of Colorado in Women’s Health.
