I am leaving out specific details for my own privacy. I saw Kelly only a few times, but I will say it was a horrendous experience each time. For our first appt (telehealth) she was over 10-15 minutes late, which actually led me to call the office and see what was going on. The appt started a few minutes after my call. For what I can only assume was due to the lateness, she rushed my appt, cut me off while I was speaking, and was very dismissive of what I was saying in order to ask me questions that were not a requirement (just how she does appts, I guess). She ignored the plan of my previous psychiatrist, all of my known physical issues, and the symptoms they cause which are compounded by my psychological issues and should thusly be taken into account. She ended up changing my medication in our first appt despite it being far from what had been planned for months at that point. I agreed anyway, because she's the practioner who should realistically know better than myself. Well..… fast-forward.. my chronic migraines became substantially worse and very severe and debilitating, I developed neurological issues, I started to have convulsions (or as it was noted by neurologists: some type of seizure) and I would collapse after losing muscle function, balance, and almost blacking out from dizziness. Fast-forward once more.. when I started seeing my new psychiatrist, they were in shock and said that the dosage of this particular medication was double what they would ever feel comfortable prescribing someone with my particular issues - and so we started to lower it. All of the aforementioned symptoms have since lessened significantly.. I went through an unbelievable amount of neurological testing due to this whole ordeal, and while I do have existing neurological issues, this caused extreme concern and stress for months and months of my life because the potentials were substantially worse than anything I had already been diagnosed up until that point. It also started a separate issue of medications being changed multiple times for my physical issues to try and address all of this (many of which made me sick in other ways). I am LIVID. I was so scared for such terrible outcomes. It's a relief that the majority of it was due to the medication, however, that does not negate the fact that none of this ever would have happened if she had operated in a medically appropriate manner or properly addressed my existing medical history. I already have previous traumatic experiences due to side effects of medications, and this added to that greatly. Needless to say, I would NEVER see her again, and I would not recommend her to anyone. While this was not technically malpractice, I would never want someone else to experience the negligence and dismissal I endured. 0/10, do not recommend.
